Daren Derfler joined Hillendale Associates, Inc., and parent company U.S Employee Benefits Services Group, in January 2021 with 16 years of experience in the Finance and Insurance industry. As a Sales Director for Hillendale, his responsibilities include business development within the K-12 school/public sector segment, non-profit, and corporate communities in Pennsylvania. Daren will call upon his experience to use a consultative approach to understand and assist organizations in creating customized cost-saving strategies surrounding compliance, technology, and benefit packages that maximize their budgets. He is passionate about ensuring the right benefits are in place to attract and retain today’s diverse workforce while ensuring offerings can be utilized effectively and efficiently.
Daren started his career as a small business banker in Philadelphia, PA with Citizens Bank. In this role, he had the opportunity to help many small businesses start, grow, and succeed by recommending and implementing appropriate banking products. Daren then joined Prudential Financial where he held roles in service, sales, and client relationship management. His dedication to building and maintaining relationships led to multiple Partner of the Year awards while at Prudential.
Daren received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University with a focus on finance and management. He is also a Certified Retirement Counselor, Life and Health Insurance licensed, and maintains his FINRA series 6 and 63 registrations.
